Working Structure Fire - Georgetown Apartments

At approximately 4:20pm, the Georgetown Fire Company, along with the Milton Fire Department, Georgetown Ambulance Service, and Sussex County EMS were alerted for a structure fire in the 200 block of Georgetown Apartments. 77 Command responded with 77-15 (Dennis Swain). Sussex EOC advised command that the Georgetown Police Department was on scene with a working structure fire. Upon arrival 77-4 hit a hydrant and pulled hand line to the rear of the structure. Ladder-77's crews pulled a second handline off the rear to assist with fire supression. Subsequent crews vented the roof, and continued fire supression, overhaul, and ventilation. Command placed the situation under control in approximately 45 minutes.
