On behalf of the Georgetown Fire Company and the Oyster Eat Committee, I would like to thank all of our sponsors and patrons for your continued support. The Oyster Eat is our largest fundraiser of the year. The funds that are generated by this annual event are essential to our company’s success and allow us better serve our community.
Collectively, the committee and I have made a few changes to this year’s event, in an effort to make it a more enjoyable experience. To address to concerns of bathroom accessibility, we have added three tents to the front of the building which will house four portable restrooms. This will provide not only additional restrooms but will also assist with temperature control and overcrowding. In addition to this, we are expanding to include two beverage counters to reduce wait time. Lastly the decision has been made to replace the ham sandwiches with Berks hotdogs.
Continuing our commitment to local businesses, this year’s patrons will have the opportunity to sample Georgetown’s own Blue’s Golden. This beverage is the newest creation by 16 Mile Brewery and has limited availability at special locations.
Over the years, the Annual Oyster Eat has developed a lasting tradition for great food, good music and unforgettable experiences. Like years past, this tradition will continue. Our 2010 menu will consist of:
